It’s that time again, time to discover a world of lovely new teas. These Christmas tea advent calendars are the perfect way to sample interesting, exotic and exciting new teas and blends without having to commit to a large quantity. They make a great alternative to the modern-day chocolate Advent calendar and, of course, they make the perfect Christmas gift for the tea lover in your life.

Unlike most reviews on this site, we have not had the joy of using any of these products yet because it’s not yet the first of December and we all know that Santa doesn’t visit people who open their presents early. However, for all the products listed below, we are either fans (and consumers) of their teas all year round, or we had one of their Advent calendars last year, or both so this is definitely our personal opinion.

Prices in GBP correct as of 18th November 2019. Other retailers may be available in your country. This information is likely to change as we head into November as more retailers launch their Christmas products, so bookmark this page to come back to.

  1. Hi there,

Excellent article, I really enjoyed the reading.

I drink a lot of tea, and I even grow plants in my garden for my tea. My mother, too, loves tea, and it would be a great idea to buy her an advent calendar for Christmas. I’ve never thought about this. Thank you for the idea!

Which of these advent calenders is best for a woman of 75 years old? I have no idea what to choose:)

Thank you for this useful post.

    • Hi Daniella, my Mum is 74 and I’ll be buying her either the Whittard calendar or the Fortnum & Mason tea lover’s calendar because they have a touch of old-fashioned luxury with lots of classic flavours. If you want more herbal and fruit flavours then I’d probably choose either Pukka or Higher Life. Hope this helps. Lisa
